Even though all the other organizations related to the Central Government remain as client, all the responsibility related to consultancy is over the shoulder of Deputy Chief Secretary (Engineering Services). In addition to that he acts as a legal entity of the appointing technical staff. Disciplinary authority of the technical staff is also under the Deputy Chief Secretary.

Managing all the contractual matters, solving disputes aroused during contracts. Preparation of bid documents providing guidance and directions for the Engineers and Technical Staff. Coordinating with Chief Secretary and other Ministries to enhance the better service for the people.

The Deputy Chief Secretary (Engineering Services) Office was established under the Chief Secretary Office. There are four other Deputy Chief Secretaries who were also established under him. The specific technical sector is handled by the Deputy Chief Secretary (Engineering Services) Office and that is a highly technically governed organization.

This is the exceptional Service that provides all the Engineering related matters and works under the directions of the Deputy Chief Secretary (Engineering Services) Office.
